TREK Units:

• Unit 6 ~ Dance for Joy ~ April 27 - May 25
  During this unit, your child will explore the following concepts:
  
  • The Book of Acts tells of early Christians who continued Jesus? ministry.
  Peter and John gave a man lame since birth a gift more valuable than silver and gold.
  • The power to heal came from Jesus, not from Peter.
  • The man walked, leaped, and praised God.
  • Many people saw the change in the man who was healed, and they were amazed.
  • Christians today continue Jesus' healing ministry.
• Unit 7 ~ Peer Pressure ~ May 31 - June 22
  By the end of the unit, children will have the opportunity to understand that:
  
  • It is often hard to choose to do the right things, especially when others are making different choices
  • The choices they make have consequences, both good and bad
  • God wants them to make good choices and to help others make good choices
  • They can choose to stand up for God in their choices
  • They can say no to others when asked to do things they know are wrong
  • There are tools, techniques, and resources to help make wise choices
  • Friends can help make right choices or wrong choices

General TREK Information

• Sunday school for ages 3 through 5th Grade are all under the Kingdom TREK umbrella.
• Our K-5th grade TREK students will begin each Sunday IN THE SANCTUARY. Students will sit with their parents or a Shepherd if the parent is in an adult Sunday school class. Students will be dismissed from the Sanctuary after the TREK Minute to the Narthex to meet with their Shepherds and proceed to their stations.
• You will have the opportunity to obtain offering envelopes for your child to help him or her practice good stewardship. Envelopes will be provided by request.
